Delaney Kendall Barnes (born June 17, 1993) is an American beauty pageant titleholder and social worker. She was the fourth runner-up at the 1st Miss North Dakota Competition.
Life and careerEdit
Barnes was born in Bismarck, North Dakota to parents Roger and Kandace Barnes (née Delaney). She is of Irish origin, and her name comes from her mother's maiden name. Roger works as an attorney, while Kandace is a social worker who owns her own private firm. Barnes grew up with an older brother, Kyle (born 1991), and a younger sister, Cori (born 1996).
Barnes attended public schooling in Bismarck. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 2011, where she was a cheerleader. After graduating, she moved to Grand Forks to attend the University of North Dakota. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in social work in 2015. While a college student, Barnes became a member of the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta (ΚΑΘ). Barnes works as a social worker for her mother's firm.
Barnes began her pageantry career while competing in the 1st Miss North Dakota Competition. She placed as the fourth runner-up.
Barnes resides in Bismarck, North Dakota, where she works as a social worker.
